CNC Machining: CNC Turning Services
What Is CNC Turning?
Computer Numerical Control or CNC turning is a subtractive manufacturing process that works on the same principle as a lathe which is one of the oldest forms of manufacturing, dating back as far as Ancient Egypt. Computer-aided design (CAD) is used to create a programme that directs the cutting tool using a long line of code with the turning process gradually removing material from the workpiece which could be metals such as stainless steel, aluminium, copper or some plastics.
The process allows cylindrical and symmetrical machined components to be manufactured at speed with extremely high levels of accuracy.
Metal Turning For All Your Complicated Needs
We create complex and intricate designs using the latest technology that enables us to turn raw materials such as metals and plastic, into CNC turning parts accurately and quickly, time and time again. Our first-class services are created with cutting-edge CNC turning machines, tooling and advanced CAD and manufacturing, providing our customers with an efficient, cost-effective and flexible process that can produce complex parts to their exact specifications.
The most recent additions to our CNC machines include the Doosan Puma TT2100SYY which has twin spindles, turrets, and live tooling. This means we can rapidly manufacture highly precise, complex, and large batches of smaller components.
Our largest machine is the Doosan Puma 700L which is capable of a CNC machining process that manufactures parts up to 1m in diameter and 3m in length.
We Can Manufacture Your Parts With Bespoke Requirements
Our team of experts specialises in manufacturing CNC-machined components from exotic materials such as S32760 & INC625 and has developed a wealth of expertise in machining and handling them. Our CNC turning service also includes creating quality components from high-strength steel such as S355J2+N and 316L.
Get in touch with our team to talk through your project to find out how we can create CNC-machined parts that meet your specifications. Our services include project management from the initial design stage through to completion from our base in the North East of England.
